The 4,500 square feet Zuehl’s Hall is a revival of a
local original dance hall and saloon. The Ranch’s new
facility is reminiscent of an authentic German Dance
Hall that accommodates groups of up to 200 guests
in air conditioned and heated comfort. An additional
75 guests can be accommodated on the spacious
deck and patio of the adjacent Zuehl Haus. The facility
boasts a large dance floor and stage surrounded by
open fixed glass, a dry stack rock fireplace, large bar
and large shade Pecan trees.
The original Zuehl’s Hall was built in 1931 after the
Zuehl Bros Mercantile Store was burned to the ground
during a robbery. This new store was reconstructed

across the street and contained the following: general store, bar/pool hall, dance hall, liquor store, gas station and barbershop.
The Hermann Sons Lodge held its’ meetings in the hall long ago and now we invite your group to hold its’ next meeting or private group function in the newly reestablished Zuehl’s Hall.

The authentic, Texas-sized, R.C.R. Rodeo Arena provides wild-west action with a taste of Old West excitement in rodeo events such as bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, bareback bronco riding, and team roping. The Wild West Show includes a Gunfighter Show followed by a Trick Roper with horse performance. Our rodeo clowns are there to provide help for the cowboys and entertainment for the audience. The famous Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Posse who has thrilled rodeo fans throughout the Southwest highlights rodeos with a Grand Entry Parade and precision horseback drill.

The Ranch is blessed with many gardens and
nature trails, a naturalist’s paradise.

The Ranch’s century old pecan orchard offers six
different species of Texas pecans. We annually
harvest our pecans and make tasty items such
as pecan pralines, Texas Pecan Pie, and spiced
or cinnamon pecans. These recipes and many
more are in our Ranch Cookbook. The Ranch is
an active member of the Texas Pecan Growers
Association. The Pecan Orchard is the perfect
place to enjoy, relax, play and eat under the cool
shade of our orchard.

Cibolo Creek in all of its majestic beauty meanders
through the Ranch, forming the boundaries of
Guadalupe and Bexar Counties Texas, and is part
of the San Antonio River System. The waterfalls on
the Cibolo Creek crash down next to the Creekside
pier where our guests have caught and fed many a
fish. Our guests enjoy the sounds of the waterfalls
and the beauty of the Creek flowing underneath
the 2,000 square foot deck suspended over the
banks of the Cibolo from the back door of the Lazy
Lily River House. Further upstream past the Cibolo
Gardens is the Ranch nature trail where our guests
can stroll along the banks of the Cibolo looking at
the various species of plants and wildlife, including
our resident Blue Heron that has found peaceful
refuge on our Ranch. Or enjoy a ride on the Cibolo
River in our 24 passenger party barge for a 20-
minute tour guided by one of our resident Ranch
historians where guests may see wild turkey, deer,
and other creatures of the ranch.

Cibolo Hollow is the perfect spot for any event!
Adjoining the Cibolo Creek under the shade of
pecan and cottonwood trees is a spot called
Cibolo Hollow. Mother Nature once again
supplied the ideal, serene setting to host
any occasion. The Cibolo Hollow Low Ropes
Course is perfect for any group with a variety
of fun yet challenging activities designed to
reduce inhibitions and break down barriers
and presented by a professional facilitator.
The course is a turnkey program, from choosing
just the right program to catering and transportation,
and all things in between. Guests enjoy the natural
beauty of the area with the sounds of water running
nearby in the Creek. With just a bit of effort, we’ve
turned this nature area into a little heaven on earth.

The Lily Garden, adjacent to the River House
is connected by a natural stone walkway and
footbridge leading to an arbor and platform, which
can be used for weddings or a stage for varied
activities. This one-acre herb and flower garden
comes complete with many native Texas plants, a
butterfly garden, a gazebo, wishing well and fire pit.
The Lily Gardens seating capacity is 350.
